1500 Girls Interviewed Before Penning Only Song in ‘Haraamkhor’

The Nawazzudin Siddiqui-Shweta Tripathi starer Haraamkhor‘s release has been delayed for quite sometime. The 90-minute long movie has a single song and its making news. The song ‘Kidre Jawaan’ was a tough act to pull as the makers and the music team of the movie interviewed 1500 girls between the ages 12-16 to know their idea on love and infatuation. 

Music composer Jasleen Royal and lyricist Aditi Sharma journeyed through the cities of Mumbai, Delhi and Lucknow. The team met school girls and untangled their idea on relationships. The song features a school girl falling in love with her teacher who is twice her age.

The producer of the movie, Guneet Monga said to Mid-Day, “We wanted the song to be authentic and ensure that Shweta’s (Tripathi, lead actress) character is represented well. It is about someone who is torn between choices, sometimes not for the best. We spoke to young girls because they tend to get exposed to love and infatuation (during the teenage phase).”

The movie was a completed at a record 16 days and the film has crossed quite a few hurdles to pass the CBFC Certification. Haraamkhor is directed by Shlok Sharma and is all set to hit the screens on the 15th of January.
