200 Actors Shoot Fire Accident Sequence In Rajinikanth’s Kabali

A Kabali scene depicting a fire accident, with 200 actors in the sequence, was canned at the Paramount Studio in Chennai. The sequence stars John Vijay and Ramesh, and is part of a flashback segment in Kabali. In the segment, Rajinikanth rescues the stranded characters.

Yesterday, the Kabali team left for Malayasia, where they were welcomed by Malaysian officials. A large crowd of fans had gathered outside the Kuala Lumpur airport to welcome Rajinikanth. The actor eventually left the airport in a white limousine. Along with producer Kalaipuli S Thanu, Rajinikanth was invited to a lunch party by the Governor of Malacca. The Malaysia schedule of Kabali is expected to go on for about a month.

With the second largest Tamil diaspora in the world (after Sri Lanka), Malaysia is a key market for Tamil films, and the home of many Rajinikanth fans. The region contributes almost 60-65 per cent business in terms of the overseas market for Tamil films.

Kabali stars Rajinikanth, Radhika Apte, Dhansika, Kishore, Rithwika, Kalaiyarasan and Attakathi Dinesh in important roles. Composer Santhosh Narayanan will be scoring the tunes for the movie.
