Though it has been only a few weeks since Sidharth Malhotra confirmed that he is doing Aashiqui 3, reports now suggest that the film may be delayed due to script changes and the actors’ other commitments. A source told Deccan Chronicle “There have been several creative changes in the script, hence the film has been pushed a bit. Earlier, Alia was supposed to start the film post Badrinath Ki Dulhaniya while Sidharth was to do it after Reloaded.”
Aashiqui 2, which released in 2013, starring Aditya Roy Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor was a success and was mainly appreciated for its music, composed by Mithoon. The film also proved to be a break for singer Arijit Singh. The film dealt with the love story of a fallen singer who becomes an alcoholic, and a budding singer whom he trains.
Siddharth Malhotra starred in two films this year, Kapoor and Sons and Baar Baar Dekho. He is currently filming for Reloaded, directed by director duo Raj and DK, co-starring Jacqueline Fernandez. The film, which was supposed to be shot in locations across Malaysia and Thailand, is now being shot in Mumbai. It is reported that the production house Fox Star is reeling from the losses it incurred in it’s 2014 release Bang Bang.
Alia Bhatt’s Dear Zindagi, directed by Gauri Shinde and co-starring Shahrukh Khan, is set to release on 25th November this year, and she is currently filming for Badrinath ki Dulhania, the second installment of a franchise that began with Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania (2014).
