Actor Jiiva’s Sangili Bungili Kathava Thorae has reportedly wrapped up its shooting. Actress Sri Divya plays the lead female role. Comedian Soori is also part of the cast. Directed by Ike Radhe, the movie is jointly produced by Fox studios, and Atlee, under his production company, A for Apple. The music is scored by Vishal Chandrasekhar. The film has entered its post-production stage now.
A horror-comedy film, it’s the first of its genre for actor Jiiva. Lately, he seems to be dabbling in different film genres. Taking a break from urban-centric roles, Jiiva embodies Tamil cinema’s timeless typical “rural hero” in the film Thirunaal. Starring opposite actress Nayanthara, the movie is scheduled for a 5 August release.
Actor Jiiva is also working with actress Kajal Aggarwal in his upcoming movie, ‘Kavalai Vendam’. Directed by Deekay and produced by Elred Kumar of RS Infotainment, the movie is said to be a romantic comedy. The second schedule of shooting for the film resumed in June. The shoot was put on hold for a while due to the elections and also to accommodate the actor’s availability. The shooting resumed in Kotagiri after a gap of 4 months. The film was originally set to be made with Keerthy Suresh and Nikki Galrani, but the actresses opted out of it citing date issues. Kavalai Vendam stars Jiiva, Kajal Aggarwal, Bobby Simha, Sunainaa and Sruthi Ramakrishna.
