Ravi Teja, the Telugu actor who was last seen in the action-drama Krack (2021), will portray the role of an Andhra Pradesh government official in his upcoming film with director Sarath Mandava, a source close to the film unit confirmed to Silverscreen India on Thursday.
Stating that the actor will resume shooting for his other film Khiladi on June 26, the source added, “Ravi Teja is likely to begin shooting for Sarath Mandava’s film in July. The film was launched in mid-April and it will have two female leads. While actor Divyansha Kaushik is confirmed, Rajisha Vijayan is expected to be the other female lead and this film will mark her Telugu debut.”
Providing further details about the yet-to-be-titled film, the source said, “It is set in the 90s and is based on true incidents that happened in Andhra Pradesh. The film will be an action drama with a revenge arc. Ravi Teja will be playing a government official who is transferred to Chittoor, the character’s native place. The actor is practicing the dialect of the area.”
Produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri under the banner SLV Cinemas LLP, the upcoming film will have music by Sam CS. “As of now, Sam has already composed three songs. Ravi Teja is also attending Zoom meetings for the music sessions with Sam and Sarath since music is a main element of the film. The title song will be raw and rustic with commercial elements,” the source revealed.
