Actor Shirish, who made his acting debut with Metro, will next be seen in director Dharanidharan’s upcoming film. Talking to Silverscreen, Shirish revealed that Dharanidharan approached him for the role after watching his performance in Metro. “Dharanidharan had watched Metro and appreciated me for my performance. He had narrated a one-line of the script. I liked his idea and I enjoyed his previous films Jackson Durai and Burma. I immediately agreed to do the film.”
This new film will be a crime drama along the lines of Metro. “It is a crime drama again, but it is a way different story. My character too, will be a full fledged one, unlike in Metro. My performance in the film had to be subtle whereas with Dharanidharan’s film, I have more scope to perform” said Shirish.

The actor is also in talks to star in two other films.
Dharani Dharan’s debut film Burma was a crime thriller and Jackson Durai, starring actors Sathyaraj and Sibiraj was a fantasy-horror film.
The cast and crew details are expected to be announced in a week’s time and the production is expected to begin by the end of November this year. The film will be shot completely in and around Chennai.
The film is produced by Vasan and Burma Talkies, on first copy basis.
