Adanga Maru Trailer: Where Honest Police Officer Turns Vigilante

In Adanga Maru, Jayam Ravi spouts dialogues that make him seem holier than thou. And in true cinematic fashion, his character is reminded time and again that he cannot do anything in life if he continues to be such a stickler for rules. But he soldiers on anyway. Because honest police officers make police stations seem like places of worship. And so police men and women are just Gods. Really.

Jayam Ravi’s character in the movie struggles to reconcile his violent work life with the domestic bliss he experiences at home. There’s duality in his life and the impending battle with the antagonist, only further emphasises this aspect.

Viji, the film’s dialogue writer, positions the film as one honest police officer facing off against a menacing Sampath and his team of villains. Will he succeed? Or as the villain says… will he ulitmately not be able to displace even a blade of grass?

For all that to happen, it is hinted at that Jayam Ravi has to undergo a startling change. He must adopt a different outlook in life so as to emerge victorious. Will he though?
