Actress Aishwarya Dutta, who entered the industry with Tamilukku En Ondrai Aluthavum, has now bagged the lead role in the Tamil remake of the Malayalam film Memories, which was helmed by director Jeethu Joseph. A known source has confirmed that actress Nikki Galrani has also agreed to be a part of this remake, which will be directed by Arivazhagan of Eeram fame.

Earlier, there were confirmed reports about actress Monal Gajjar playing the lead role. It is still unclear as to why the actress opted herself out of the project.
Shooting of Memories remake will commence sometime in October, and the movie will be produced by Sri Thenandal Films. Actor Arulnithi, who had a setback with Naalu Policeum Nalla Irundha Oorum, will be playing the hero in this remake. Prithviraj, Mia George and Meghana Raj starred in the original version, which was a major commercial success in Kerala.
