Actress Aishwarya Rai, who was last seen in director Shankar’s Enthiran, has now reportedly been approached for director Mani Ratnam’s upcoming film with Karthi.
The official word, however, is yet to arrive.

It was director Mani Ratnam who introduced Aishwarya Rai in Tamil with Iruvar. The actress then went on to do other films like Guru and Raavanan with Ratnam.
It is also being reported that Shruti Haasan, and actors Mammootty and Dulquer Salman have also been approached for the film, but apart from Karthi, nobody else has been confirmed.
Mani Ratnam’s recently released Oh Kadhal Kanmani was a contemporary take on modern love and relationships. The film starring Dulquer Salman and Nithya Menen opened to rave reviews.
