Baadshaho actor Ajay Devgn finds multi-starrers quite secure. Responding to his Golmaal director Rohit Shetty’s comment about how actors choose to promote each other on social media but don’t want to star together on-screen, Devgn said that this wasn’t the case with him.

“Working in a multi-starrer is a lot more fun. There are so many people around you on the sets. I don’t understand why people are afraid of working in one. In fact, those who refuse to be a part of it are insecure and are bad performers. I don’t know about others, but whenever I have done a multi-starrer, my character has always stood out. So, I feel quite secure about it,” he tells The Indian Express.

Devgn, whose multi-starrer with Emraan Hashmi, Ileana D’Cruz, Esha Gupta, Vidyut Jammwal and Sanjai Mishra hits the screens on September 1, believes the film should be looked at as a thriller-drama.

Baadshaho is about six grey characters and about who is fighting whom. 1975 Emergency is a period in which the film is set. It is a drama with punchlines and humour,” he tells The Indian Express.

Devgn’s next multi-starrer, Golmaal Again, is scheduled to release this Diwali. The film is the fourth installment from Shetty’s popular Golmaal franchise. The first installment Golmaal: Fun Unlimited released in 2006. The previous three installments featured Kareena Kapoor Khan, Rimi Sen and Sharman Joshi among many others.

Golmaal Again also stars Tabu, Parineeti Chopra, Ajay Devgn, Shreyas Talpade and Neil Nitin Mukesh.
