Ajith Kumar, who recently injured his knee during the shooting of Vedalam‘s climax, will be undergoing surgery on his knee and shoulder on the 24th of November. In 2013, the actor had injured his right knee and shoulder during the shoot of a car chase sequence in Arrambam. Reportedly, Ajith has injured himself in the same area, and hence, surgery has become essential. Meanwhile, shooting for Vedalam was put on hold, and Ajith rejoined the sets only after intensive treatment.
Ajith had also been unable to attend the Nadigar Sangam Elections on account of this injury, and was seen walking on crutches when he visited actor Vivek’s home to offer his condolences over the death of Vivek’s son.
Ajith’s doctors have advised nine weeks of total rest following the surgery. Ajith had undergone multiple surgeries in 2006, when he picked up a spinal injury during the shoot of Kireedam.
