While the teaser of Duvvada Jagannadham convinced everyone that Allu Arjun would play a Brahmin cook in the film, reports now say that he will play an undercover agent in [that] disguise. According to Hindustan Times, the makers are planning to keep the khaki look a secret, and plan to unveil it only in the film.
“It’s on a mission that he goes undercover as a Brahmin cook. Arjun will be sporting a special look,” a source told HT. The actor had to lose a lot of weight for the undercover agent look.
Mohenjodaro actress Pooja Hegde plays the female lead.
Dil Raju’s banner, Sri Venkateshwara Creations bankrolls the project, and some crucial scenes in the film will be shot in and around Karnataka and Abu Dhabi.
The rom-com is written by Harish Shankar, with music by Devi Sri Prasad. Duvvada Jagannadham is slated for a summer 2017 release.
