Bollywood’s veteran actors and star couple Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan will reportedly reunite on the screen for a film by Shoojit Sircar. According to a DNA India report, the film will focus on the story of a couple who have been married for 40 years.
“Both of them are approaching their end. Their fear is not death. Their fear is, what happens if either goes before the other?” the source tells DNA.
If confirmed, the two would play an on-screen couple almost 17 years after Karan Johar’s Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham (K3G). The two also shared screen space in Deepak Sawant’s Bhojpuri film Ganga Devi but wasn’t as major as the one in K3G.
Amitabh, last seen in last week’s release Sarkar 3, has Thugs of Hindostan with Aamir Khan in the pipeline. He was also recently appointed the Goodwill Ambassador for Hepatitis by the World Health Organisation (WHO).
Jaya Bachchan was last seen in Ki and Ka and will soon be seen in Hera Pheri 3.
