Ammani Shooting Complete: Lakshmy Ramakrishnan

Actress-director Lakshmy Ramakrishnan is ready with her third directorial, Ammani. The latest update is that the movie has been wrapped up, post the filming of a ‘death song’. The director took to Twitter to announce the news and praised music director K for composing some ‘excellent songs’ for the movie. The dubbing sessions have already begun.


The talkie portions of Ammani were completed in May, after which the director went to the USA for a brief vacation. Post-production work for the movie will begin shortly.

Ammani is said to be a story inspired by the TV series Solvathellam Unmai. Lakshmy Ramakrishnan, along with senior actress Subbulakshmi, play the leads in the movie and will be essaying the roles of a 57-year-old woman and an 80-year-old lady respectively.

Lakshmy Ramakrishnan’s directorials include Aarohanam and Nerungi Vaa Muthamidathey.
