The first single from the film will be released at 5 pm on Friday.
Sharing the link to the teaser on Twitter, Anirudh wrote, “Excited to release the musical teaser of #Andhaghaaram This is gonna be a cracker”
Though the teaser does not have any vocal narration, the slow music along with various montages captures the eeriness of the film. The music is coupled with various background sounds, including a bottle rolling and a telephone ringing.
Apart from Arjun Das and Vinoth Kishan, the film also stars Pooja Ramachandran and Misha Ghoshal in lead roles. Kumar Natarajan, Jeeva Ravi, ‘Rail’ Ravi, and Mahendra Mullath will be playing pivotal roles in the film. While AM Edwin Sakay is the cinematographer, Sathyaraj Natarajan who has worked in Super Deluxe, is on the edit. Rembon Balraj (who has worked in Magamuni) is the art director of the film and Pradeep Kumar who is part of the music band Oorka, has composed the music. The stunts have been choreographed by Dhilip Subbarayan.
The film is directed by debutant V Vignarajan and presented by director Atlee‘s A For Apple Productions. This is the second production venture for Atlee and wife Priya Atlee after the 2017 horror-comedy Sangili Bungili Kadhava Thorae. Sudhan Sundaram’s and Jayaram’s Passion Studios is producing the film in association with K Poorna Chandra’s O2 Pictures.
Andhaghaaram means absolute darkness in Tamil. The film is about a blind conjurer’s (Vinoth Kishan) struggle for survival, an unsuccessful cricketer’s (Arjun Das) fight for deliverance, and a desolate psychiatrist’s (Kumar Natarajan) quest for reclamation which leads them to a labyrinth of obscurity while their lives are intertwined in a web of deceit, dismay, and darkness.
Andhaghaaram will stream on Netflix from November 24.
