Anirudh Ravichander will compose music for the filmmaker-politician Seeman’s upcoming movie with STR. The actor reportedly plays the role of a doctor in the film.
According to an Iflicks report, a source close to the movie says, “Seeman recently met Anirudh and has even narrated the script to him. The composer had already begun working on the project as he loved the content. The film will go on floors once STR completes Venkat Prabhu’s Maanadu.”
In a recent interview, leader of Naam Tamizhar party, Seeman, said that the film will be on a political subject, in line with Seeman’s other films. He said, “You all know on what subject I will make the film considering the current scenario.”
There are reports that the film might be titled Pagalavan. Vijay was supposed to play the lead, but the project didn’t take off because of creative differences and other reasons. According to a report in Deccan Chronicle, lead actor Simbu will star as a doctor for the first time in a film.
Simbu is currently working on the final schedule of Sundar C’s action comedy Vandha Rajavathaan Varuven. He has a yet-to-be titled film with director Gautham Menon, which has music by AR Rahman. He also has a film with director Karthik Naren.
Seeman has directed films like Vazhthukkal and Thambi, for which he won State Award for Best Dialogue. He was last seen playing a cameo in director Vicky’s Traffic Ramasamy.
His upcoming acting project is Thavam, by debutant directors Vijay Anand and Suriyan. He will be seen as Natesan, a teacher who fights for the poor farmers of his village. He also reportedly performs Silambam in the film.
Meanwhile, Anirudh Ravichander is gearing up for the release of Rajinikanth’s Petta. He also has director Shankar’s Kamal Haasan starrer Indian 2, which may go on floors by mid-January.
