Composer Anirudh will be teaming up with American music producer and songwriter Diplo for an independent album. Diplo, impressed by Anirudh’s Why This Kolaveri and Aaluma Doluma, had met the young composer earlier this year in Mumbai.
Anirudh has composed two songs in Diplo’s album which will be released in August. One of the songs features vocals by Sting. In September, Anirudh will head to the USA to work with Diplo on another album.
In an interview to Times of India, Anirudh mentioned that the album will be along the lines of ‘Lean On’, Diplo’s chartbuster single. Both Anirudh and Diplo will co-produce the album which will feature independent English songs.
Earlier this year, Diplo had also tweeted out Anirudh’s single, Hola Amigo from the film Rum.
