Written and directed by Midhun Manuel Thomas and produced under the banner of Ashiq Usman Productions and Manual Movie Makers, Anjaam Pathiraa starred Kunchacko Boban, Jinu Joseph, Unnimaya Prasad, Sharaf U Dheen and Sreenath Bhasi.
The film had released in January 2020.
For Midhun Manuel Thomas, Anjaam Pathiraa was his first venture in the thriller genre. He has in the past worked on comedy films like Aadu (2015), its sequel Aadu 2 (2017), Alamara (2017), Ann Maria Kalippilaanu (2016) and Argentina Fans Kaattoorkadavu (2019). Argentina Fans Kaattoorkadavu was also the first film on which Thomas and Usman collaborated.
In Anjaam Pathiraa, Boban played the role of Dr Anvar Hussain, a psychologist who worked as a consulting criminologist in the Kochi City Police. The story revolved around Hussain and a squad of police officers that he assisted while attempting to unveil the face of a serial killer who was targeting police officers.
In fact, after a successful run, Anjaam Pathiraa is all set to get remade in Hindi, with producers Reliance Entertainment, AP International and Ashiq Usman Productions itself, as reported by The Indian Express.
This latest thriller will mark the fifth collaboration between Boban and Usman. Besides Anjaam Pathiraa and the upcoming thriller, the actor-producer duo has previously worked together on Allu Ramendran (2019 Malayalam comedy-thriller), Shajahanum Pareekuttiyum (2016 Malayalam romantic comedy), and Varnyathil Aashanka (2017 Malayalam comedy-drama).
The rest of the cast is yet to be revealed.
There has also been no official announcement on the shooting schedule or the release date as yet.
