The audio launch event of Anjaan, that was supposed to take place at Chennai Trade Centre on July 22, has been cancelled. According to UTV Motion Pictures’ G Dhananjayan, it was due to some ‘uncertainty’ regarding the venue. Instead, the team will now hold a small event at Sathyam Cinemas on the same date where they will showcase the film’s songs and trailer. A select number of fans have been invited for the event along with the media and some important people from the industry.
Anjaan is directed by Lingusamy, and stars Samantha Ruth Prabhu opposite Suriya. Vidyut Jamwal and Manoj Bajpai are part of an ensemble supporting cast that also includes Bollywood actors Rajpal Yadav and Dalip Tahil. Cinematography is by Santosh Sivan, and music is courtesy Yuvan Shankar Raja. Anjaan is scheduled to release on August 15, 2014.
