Actress Anu Emmanuel is in the race to play the lead in Allu Arjun’s upcoming movie, Naa Peru Surya. According to a report in DC, the makers are on the look-out for an ‘unconventional name’ to co-star with the male lead.

“While Anu Emmanuel has become a popular name, she hasn’t got the star image that an actress in an Allu Arjun film would generally have. However, she’s got an edge because of the freshness she brings to the table,” a source has told the daily.
The actress made her debut in the 2011 Malayalam movie, Swapnasanchari, in which she was seen playing the daughter of actor Jayaram. Her latest Telugu releases are Majnu, Oxygen and Kittu Unnada Jagratha.
