Shalini Pandey and Anjali will be part of Anushka Shetty’s upcoming horror thriller Silence, say reports. Directed by Hemant Madhukar, the movie also features R. Madhavan.
The film marks the reunion of Shetty and Madhavan after 12 years. They were last seen together in the Tamil film Rendu, which was incidentally the actress’ Tamil debut. Produced by Kona Venkat, Silence will be shot as a multilingual. The story is reportedly set in the US, and is said to be a crossover movie.

According to an NIE report, a source close to the movie said, “This is going to be a silent film. It will release simultaneously in Tamil and Hindi. The movie will portray Anushka in a performance-oriented role. Madhavan’s is going to be an interesting character. Besides them, the project will also have an international star cast.”
Shoot for the film was supposed to begin by September 2018, but it has now been reported that it will begin by March this year. The movie will be shot in the US. “The story is set in Seattle and it will be the first Indian film to be shot completely over there,” added the source.
It has also been reported that Hollywood actors like Michael Madsen will feature in the movie. “The director has been carrying out the recce in the seaport city and has also narrated the script to a few Hollywood actors who are going through it,” said the source.
Silence has been jointly scripted by director Hemant and Gopi Mohan.
R Madhavan was last seen in the Telugu movie Savyasachi. Featuring Nag Chaitanya in the lead, Madhavan played the main antagonist in the movie. Anushka Shetty who was part of the Baahubali franchise was last seen in Bhaagmathie. The horror thriller, directed by G Ashok, released simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu.
