Oscar winning composer AR Rahman will score the music for Iranian director Majid Majidi’s next film. The composer had a brainstorming session with the director recently and talked about it during the audio launch of Kaaviya Thalaivan. “I was talking to Majid Majidi recently and he commented on the increasingly westernised films we turn out. I didn’t have an answer then!” The music composer who looked evidently impressed with Vasantabalan’s Kaaviya Thalaivan announced,”I will definitely show this film to Majid.”
Majid Majidi has long been toying with the idea of making a film with the children of Kashmir titled Kashmir Afloat. The film, supposedly being made with an all Indian cast, could also have have Rahman composing for it, although this is still unconfirmed.
