Arjun Sarja reportedly plays the antagonist in PS Mithran’s next directorial, starring Sivakarthikeyan in the lead. This is the director’s second thriller after Irumbu Thirai.
According to a report, shoot for the film will commence on February 15 in Chennai. Arjun Sarja, who had a grey role in Irumbu Thirai, will play a similar character in the upcoming film. An official announcement regarding this is yet to be made.
The film is produced by RD Raja under the banner 24 AM Studios. Music is by Yuvan Shankar Raja, and cinematography by George C Williams. Antony L Ruben is the editor. The rest of the cast and crew are yet to be finalised.
About working with Sivakarthikeyan, Mithran earlier told Silverscreen: “We have known each other since 2010 when we worked together on a short film. We have always wanted to make a feature film, but it never took off because Irumbu Thirai got delayed – we started filming in 2016 and it released only in 2018. Sivakarthikeyan and I started discussing the new project after the release of Irumbu Thirai.”

Meanwhile, Arjun Sarja has also bagged a pivotal role in Kolaikaran, a crime thriller starring Vijay Antony in the lead. The film is directed by Andrew Louis, of Leelai fame.
On the work front, Arjun has the Tamil, Telugu and Kannada film Iruvar Oppantham/Kontract, directed by SS Sameer. He will be seen in Kurukshetra, a war film directed by Naganna, Walter, a crime thriller by U Anbarasan, Jack Daniel directed by SL puram Jayasurya, and Marakkar: Arabikadalinte by Priyadarshan. All the films are in various stages of production.
