Actor Arun Vijay, who is said to have been approached by young director Karthick Naren for a movie, confirmed that he is in talks with the director.
Talking to Silverscreen, Arun Vijay said “Karthick and I are in talks for a movie. I really like the script. However, it is too early to divulge anything more.”
It was reported that Nivetha Pethuraj too, has been approached by the director for the same project.
Earlier, Karthick had announced his new film Naadaga Medai. However, Arun Vijay confirmed that this was a “fresh script”.
Karthick, who made a crackling debut with the 2016 sleeper hit Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru, is waiting for the release of Naragasooran. The film features Arvind Swamy, Shriya Saran, Aathmika, Sundeep Kishan and Indrajith Sukumaran. The film was scheduled for release last year, but has been delayed indefinitely.
Naragasooran was in the news when Karthick and director Gautham Vasudev Menon engaged in a war of words on Twitter. According to Karthick Naren, the movie ran into trouble after Gautham did not fund or back the project as promised. Later, he opted out of the project, and it was taken over by Badri Kasturi.
