Tamil actor Ashok Selvan, who acted in Soodhu Kaavam (2013), Pizza 2 (2013), and Thegidi (2014), will be working with director Ananda Krishnan’s next, according to a report in the Times of India. The filmmaker, who is best-known for Metro (2016), a film about the chain snatching racket in Chennai, is making another crime thriller with Selvan in the lead.
Krishnan, whose first Tamil film was Aal in 2014, said that his new film will begin shooting soon. “Just like Metro, this one will also be a serious crime story. Though we will be starting the shoot on Friday, this schedule will only be for two to three days. The main shoot will begin in March,” he said.

The film will also have Selvan with three different looks. “Ashok will be seen in three different looks as the story revolves around his character and the three different stages of his life — from childhood to old age,” Krishnan said. He added that a heroine hadn’t yet been chosen.
Selvan, who made his debut with Billa II, has a few films in the pipeline this year, including Priyadarshan’s Sila Samayangalil, TJ Gnanavel’s comedy Kootathil Oruthan, and Gautham Ramachandran’s Avargal with Nivin Pauly.
