Actor Ashwin Kakumanu, who is awaiting the release of his upcoming film Zero, took to Twitter to announce that he has been roped in to play an important role in actor Ajith’s upcoming film with director Siva. Talking to Silverscreen, actor Ashwin said, “Siva sir approached me for the role and since I have worked with Ajith sir already, I accepted it immediately. I shot a couple of days in the city for the movie. A few portions are left to be canned.” While the actor did not reveal details about his role, he sounded quite excited all the same.
Ashwin had earlier worked with Ajith for director Venkat Prabhu’s Mankatha. This will be the second time that he is teaming up with Ajith.

The first schedule of Thala 56 – shot at Binny Mills in Chennai – was wrapped up a couple of days ago, and the second schedule is expected to begin in a week. The team might also travel to Kolkata to film some important sequences for the movie.
The film has Ajith, Shruti Haasan and Lakshmi Menon in the lead roles while actors Soori and Ashwin Kakamanu will be seen in the supporting cast. Music director Anirudh Ravichander, who has completed the theme song and introduction number, is working on the rest of the album.
