Nara Rohit: “Asura Success Has Given Me Confidence”

Actor and producer Nara Rohith says the success of his latest release Asura has given him the confidence to bet on good films. At a recent press meet, Rohit said that the film was financially successful. “I was in Dubai when the film released. People said it is a good movie but they were doubtful if it would make any money. However, I can proudly proclaim that I’ve made money”.

Rohit attributes the success of the film to its director Krishna Vijay, who patiently waited for nearly five years to get it made. Asked if he’ll continue producing more films, he replied in the affirmative. “My priority is to make good films and if it needs me to bet my money on it, I’m more than willing to do that. The success of Asura has given me confidence to back content-driven scripts. Good films may not open to high patronage but people will eventually come and watch them based on positive word-of-mouth”.

Rohit is currently busy shedding weight for an untitled Telugu remake of the Tamil hit, Maan Karate. He is also working on a thriller titled Appatlo Okkadundevadu with director Sagar Chandra.
