Athithi has been censored and given a U/A certificate. The movie is the re-make of the Malayalam hit Cocktail and features actors Nandha and Nikesh Ram alongside actress Ananya. Directed by Azhagiya Tamizh Magan fame Bharathan, the film is about a man who gets blackmailed by a stranger. The Malayalam version drew inspiration from the English movie Butterfly on a Wheel, and the director is said to have changed certain scenes to suit the Tamil audience. With music by Bharadwaj, Athithi is all set to release soon.
