Director Atlee recently launched his production house, ‘A for Apple’. The Theri director, at the press meet to announce his production house, shed light on why he chose an unconventional name.
“Instead of naming it after myself, I felt ‘A for Apple’ represents baby steps towards producing films now,” he said.

He will be bankrolling an upcoming horror-comedy, Sangili Bungili Kadhava Thorae directed by debutant Ike.
Interestingly, while Atlee and Ike started off as friends, the two realised that working together could be better for them. Ike was an associate of Kamal Haasan, and will finally make his debut in direction with this film starring Jiiva, Sri Divya, Soori and Radhika Sarathkumar. Ike is also related to MR Radha, Radha Ravi and the family.
Sangili Bungili Kadhava Thorae‘s audio will be launched on April 24 and the film is scheduled to release on May 19.
