‘Baahubali, The Conclusion’ Pulled Out Of UAE Screens

Baahubali 2 UAE

Theatres in the UAE and other Gulf countries will no longer screen Baahubali, The Conclusion. According to a Hindustan Times report, this is because of a longstanding dispute between the distributors for UAE K Productions and the producers Arka Productions. Despite making Rs.1000 crores in its first week at the box-office, the film has now been pulled from UAE theatres.

The Tamil Nadu distributor for Baahubali, The Conclusion, K Productions, also had the distribution rights for a few overseas locations, including the UAE. However, K productions owed about Rs. 15 crores to the producers, which was long pending. ARKA had in fact delayed the film’s release in Tamil Nadu and other places on this count, and only allowed the release on the condition that K productions clear the dues in 2 weeks.

However, the distributors have not kept their commitment, and ARKA have refused to grant them an extension on their release rights.

Sify also reports that the KDM codes (Key Delivery Message Codes) that authenticates the screening of the film are valid only for two weeks. This means that UAE fans can no longer watch Baahubali, The Conclusion legally on the big screen.
