According to industry grapevine, a recent Malayalam hit, Bhaskar the Rascal, is likely to be remade in Telugu soon. The remake rights of this Mammootty-starrer has been acquired by Suresh Productions, and the Telugu version may feature Venkatesh in the lead.
Suresh Productions have remade several films over the years. In the recent twelve months, they’ve shifted their focus to Malayalam industry. After successfully remaking Drishyam in Telugu, now they’re keen to make Telugu versions of Premam and Bhaskar the Rascal. The official announcement about the remake is awaited.
