The season 2 of Bigg Boss Tamil is only one-week-old and it has already courted controversy. While the lip-lock between Aishwarya and Janani Iyer drew eyeballs in the latest episode, the Film Employees Federation of South India (FEFSI) has demanded that the shooting for the show be stopped from Saturday onwards.
The reason for their objection is that 90 per cent of the workers employed for the shoot were brought from other places and are not members of the union. According to the FEFSI terms and conditions, it is mandatory that at least 50 per cent of the workers on the production crew are from the local federation.

According to The Times Of India, Angamuthu Shanmugam, the general secretary of FEFSI, said, “It came to our notice that around 90 per cent of the production crew are from Mumbai, which is against the terms and conditions of the FEFSI. It was the same thing last year as well, but after discussing with Kamal Haasan, we ensured that 50 per cent of the crew were from our association.”
According News 18 Tamil, R K Selvamani, president of the FEFSI, said, “Along with 100 workers, we are going hold talks with the Bigg Boss team. If they don’t cooperate, we will go on strike at the venue. When we had raised the issue last year, Kamal Haasan had promised us that he will make sure that there are only FEFSI union members employed for this season, but he did not keep his promise.”
