Bigg Boss 3 will begin from June 23 on Vijay TV and will air on all days of the week. Latest reports say that actress Madhumitha is the first contestant to come on board.
Vijay TV announced the premier date today, and released a new promo featuring Kamal Haasan who will be hosting the show for the third time. He says, “15 celebrities amidst 60 cameras in one house. This is not just a show, it’s our lives.”

Ex-contestant Oviya put out a message for the new participants and fans. A report by IBT says she asked people not to troll contestants and to simply watch it like a show. “Remember, the residents are under pressure and are bound to make mistakes. A right might be wrong for others and vice-versa. We may dislike a person, but trolling should not happen. One needs guts to enter the house and expose their characters in a show witnessed by crores of people, and this alone should be appreciated,” she said.
Reports say that Kannada actor Sri Reddy has been approached and is yet to say yes. Sakshi Aggarwal, MS Bhaskar, Alya Manasa are reportedly already on board. Sudha Chandran, Chandini Tamilarasan and Laila Mehden were among the first to be approached, but both Chandini and Laila did not sign up. VJ Siddhu was offered the opportunity and is considering participating. Kasthuri Shankar denied rumours about her participation and said that such speculations were rife the past two seasons too.
Vijay TV is currently finalising the list and it will be out soon.
Meanwhile, it is believed that Kamal Haasan will begin shoot for Shankar’s Indian 2 after the completion of Bigg Boss. He has to maintain a diet and undergo a complete make-over before shoot. The film was expected to begin in January this year but had to be postponed because of Kamal’s election campaigns.
