Director Vijay Milton announced in a video that as part of his upcoming film Goli Soda 2’s (a sequel to the 2014 film) promotion, a van called ‘GST Vandi’ will go around delivering items required for different social activities. The van will also carry 1000 biriyani packets, buttermilk, and tender coconut and distribute them to the people while on its way.
“In Chennai, there’s a special school that’s constructing a facility for mentally ill children. The van will deliver sacks of cement and bricks, while also carrying food and drinks to be distributed to people in the city on the way,” says Milton, adding that the team decided to spend their promotional budget on a social cause that will benefit the public.

Talking about the new initiative, director Vijay Milton said, “This initiative is not totally for a social cause. It also has some selfishness to it. We felt that spending the budget for promotions of the film in this way will also give us the satisfaction of helping people and also make people talk about the film, seeing the GST Vandi on the road.”
Besides Chennai, the GST Vandi will also be visiting Coimbatore, Trichy, Salem, Pondicherry, and Madurai. Directed by Vijay Milton, Goli Soda 2 has Chemban Vinod Jose, Samuthirakani, Bharath Seeni, Subiksha, Krish Kurup, Rekha, Rakshitha, Sathya Moorthi and Gautham Vasudev Menon in central roles. The film is all set to release on June 14.
Goli Soda was a hit when it released in 2014. The film won critical acclaim and became commercially successful as well.
