Majith’s next after Torchlight is a romantic comedy that follows a young marriage broker. Vimal is the male lead while Diana Champika has been cast as the female lead.
Majith says of his new film, “The core theme is marriage and how arranged marriages can be a comedy of errors sometimes. So it will be thrilling and funny. There’s a lot of entertainment for the audience.”
Broker was launched recently with a pooja.
Majith says that he wanted to explore some other genre after making Torchlight. “The material for my last film was pretty dark. I wanted to do something different this time around and that’s why I thought of Broker. The film is an out and out comedy.”
Vimal is a very talented comic actor, says Majith. “I was happy to get Vimal onboard since he is the perfect fit for such a role. His type of humour is very casual and I wanted someone with that vibe for my script.”
MS Bhaskar, Ravi Maria, Sampath have been given pivotal roles in the project that is scheduled to release in early 2019.
Vimal’s recent release Evanukku Engeyo Machan Irukku has opened to mostly negative reviews and has been slammed by critics in Tamil Nadu.

Majith says that his Broker will alternately thrill and entertain. “We have a lot of plans to make sure that the finished product is as good as we want it to be. So that’s the challenge this time around.”
Majith made his directorial debut with Tamizhan that had Vijay as the male lead. He followed this up with movies such as Ki Mu, Thunichal and Paisa.
At present, Vimal is a part of Kanni Rasi and Kalavaani 2. His Rendaavathu Padam with Richard Rishi, directed by CS Amudhan, is still waiting for a release
