Puri Jagannadh’s Jyothi Lakshmi, which has Charmme Kaur in the lead, is all set to release in cinemas on June 12. Charmme has co-produced the film with C. Kalyan, and Puri is all praise for the Punjabi kudi for her new role as producer.

At the film’s audio launch, which was held recently, Puri said that Charmme’s involvement in the nitty-gritties of film production stunned him. He went on to praise her administration skills and acting prowess. For her role, Charmee lost oodles of weight and grew long locks.
The film, which is said to be the story of a prostitute, was recently passed with a U/A certificate by Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). Puri had narrated the film’s story six years ago and it took Charmme this long to make it into a film.
