Director Venkat Prabhu launched the sequel of Chennai 28 today with a pooja. Produced by the director’s production house, Black Ticket Company, the film will have an ensemble star cast of ‘Mirchi’ Shiva, Premgi, Vaibhav, Nithin Sathya and Vijaylakshmi. The actors had starred in Chennai 600028 (2007) as well.
Venkat Prabhu will also retain music director Yuvan Shankar and editor Praveen KL. Chennai 600028 was about a group of youngsters from RA Puram’s Housing Board area, who form a cricket team. The sequel will reportedly continue the storyline.
