Chinese actress Zhu Zhu will play the female lead in Salman Khan’s next film titled Tubelight, directed by Kabir Khan. The actress tweeted a picture with Salman Khan at the location of the film in Ladakh.

32-year-old Zhu Zhu started off as a TV anchor for MTV China. She has worked on international projects like What Women Want, Shanghai Calling, The Man with the Iron Fists, Last Flight and a few others. It was reported earlier that actresses like Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone were approached to play the female lead in the film.
Kabir Khan has directed Salman Khan starrer Bajrangi Bhaijaan, which was the biggest grosser of 2015. The film was the story of Bajrangi, a devout Hindu, who helps a mute 6-year-old Muslim girl reunite with her parents in Pakistan. He also directed Salman Khan’s 2013 film Ek Tha Tiger, and Tubelight will be their third collaboration. The film is set in the 1962 Indo-China war. Like most other Salman Khan films, Tubelight is also expected to release during Eid, 2017.
