Chinmayi has dubbed for Sonakshi Sinha in Lingaa. The popular voice-over artiste and singer revealed on Facebook that she was in awe of the effort that Sonashi made to speak the Tamil dialogues.
I have dubbed for Sonakshi Sinha in Lingaa in Tamil and in Telugu. Though I lost the opportunity to sing in the film as I was traveling for a music concert, this makes it the first time that I have dubbed in a Superstar film. It was refreshing to see the effort Sonakshi has put in, in learning the Tamil lines. It is her first Tamil film and here sincerity showed. She could have actually tried dubbing for herself in Tamil if not for the fact that it wouldn’t have sounded like a Tamil native. If at all she does act in some sorta urban love story she could dub for herself IMO.
Directed by KS Ravikumar, Lingaa has Rajinikanth, Anushka and Sonakshi Sinha in the lead, while Santhanam and Karunakaran form the supporting cast. AR Rahman has composed music.
