Actor Ravi Teja admits that the decision to trim Kick 2 by 20 minutes worked in the film’s favour. Talking to Deccan Chronicle, he said, “We lost the audience in the second half on the first day. Luckily, better sense prevailed from the second day onwards. We pruned about 20 minutes and now the film is doing well.” Ravi blames himself for the first day’s error. “I always listen to my gut feelings about my films. This time, I listened to the director. I told him the film was too long but he wouldn’t listen,” he said, adding that he wasn’t going to repeat the same mistake with Kick 3, as he had learned his lesson. Ravi is currently wrapping up his next film Bengal Tiger.
