As the title suggests, the story takes place in the D Block of a college hostel, where everything is peaceful and happy in the morning, but things take a turn for the worse by evening. People will have some thrilling and fearful moments while watching the film, but there is also some comedy.”

The filmmaker added that Arulnithi will be essaying the role of a first-year college student in the film.

Vijay Kumar, who had the aspiration to direct films even before he began to work on Eruma Saani videos, has directed around 30-40 short films. “However, it just so happened that I began to act in Eruma Saani. While working on the script of D Block, I also acted in a few films. One of these was K-13 (2019) with Arulnithi. So I told him about the script, and eventually narrated it to him in January 2020.”

“Later, I spoke to Aravinnd Singh about it when we were working together on Natpe Thunai (2019),” he added.
