Earlier, Variety reported that Eon Productions and MGM announced that the 25th film in the British Spy franchise would release on November 8, 2019, but weren’t sure if Daniel Craig would return as Bond. However, NY Times confirmed that he would. The last Bond film – Spectre – saw Daniel Craig and Sam Mendes collaborating again after Skyfall. However, the new film may have a different director, as no details of other cast or crew is known so far. All we know is that Daniel Craig is back as 007. NYT further said that the script would be written by Neal Purvis and Robert Wades, the same team that has worked on the last six Bond films.

Variety said that MGM & Eon were also looking for a studio to handle the marketing and distribution of the new Bond film. Incidentally, Disney has also booked November 8, 2019 for the release of an unnamed fairytale.
