Dhanush’s next project with director Vetrimaaran will be called Vadachennai. What’s more, the film will star Samantha Ruth Prabhu in the female lead, and will begin shoot as soon as his current project wraps up.

In a message posted on his twitter account, the actor revealed that the story of the film was narrated to him while the duo were shooting for their first project together – Polladhavan. Earlier it was rumoured that their next project would be titled Soodhadi, with Santhosh NarayananNarayanan composing music and Partheipan starring in an important role.
Interestingly, Samantha has a ‘pivotal’ role to play in VIP 2,which also stars Amy Jackson.
With much of the team behind VIP joining this film, much is expected from it. Vetrimaaran too is busy adding final touches to his Visaranai starring Attakathi Dinesh and Anandhi. Moreover, their film Kaaka Muttai will also release sometime soon.
