Viacom18 Studios and Dharma Productions announced a partnership on Wednesday to bring forth a line-up of Hindi films like Jug Jugg Jeeyo and Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, among others.
The films which are part of this deal are in various stages of production and are expected to release over the next 18- 24 months.
Jug Jugg Jeeyo, directed by Raj Mehta, stars actors Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani, Neetu Singh Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, and YouTuber Prajakta Koli. Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani is being directed by Karan Johar, owner of Dharma Productions, and features Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Dharmendra, and Shabana Azmi.
Others projects that are part of the collaboration include two yet-to-be-titled films: a Shakun Batra directorial starring Deepika Padukone, Ananya Panday, Siddhant Chaturvedi, and Dhairya Karwa; and filmmaker Shashank Khaitan’s next featuring Vicky Kaushal, Kiara Advani, and Bhumi Pednekar.
Viacom18 has also acquired the satellite rights to all four films.
Speaking about the partnership, Ajit Andhare, COO, Viacom18 Studios, said, “As Viacom18 Studios scales up and begins a new chapter, we are looking at key partnerships with creators who shape mainstream entertainment.
