Drishyam 2, the Malayalam suspense thriller starring actors Mohanlal and Meena, is set to release on Amazon Prime Video on February 19.
The film’s trailer was released on February 6.
Mohanlal took to Twitter and unveiled the trailer of the film, which will be an Amazon Prime original release.
The film’s trailer, which was supposed to release on February 7, leaked on social media a day before the trailer was set to be unveiled.

Reports stated that the streaming platform had mistakenly uploaded the trailer on the afternoon of February 6. Although the earlier trailer was taken down within minutes, it began circulating on social media and on Telegram.
A representative of Amazon Prime Video told Silverscreen India that the decision to release the trailer a day prior was taken due to the “extreme eagerness of fans”.
A press release from Amazon Prime Video said that Drishyam 2 will begin from where the first part ended. In the prequel Drishyam, Mohanlal played Georgekutty, Meena essayed the role of his wife Rani, Ansiba Hassan featured as the elder daughter Anju, and Esther Anil played the younger daughter Anu.

Jeethu Joseph, the film’s director and writer, announced a few days ago that the film had completed its post-production process. Along with a series of photos with his post-production team, Jeethu said that the film will release soon.
Drishyam 2 is a sequel to the 2013 thriller, also directed by Jeethu Joseph. Produced by Antony Perumbavoor, under the banner of Aashirvad Cinemas, the cast of the prequel reprise their role in this film.
Shooting for Drishyam 2 began in September 2020 and was wrapped up in November, 10 days ahead of schedule.
Drishyam 2′s supporting cast includes Siddique, Asha Sharath, Murali Gopy, and Saikumar.
