Dulquer Salman’s cousin Maqbool will make his Tamil debut soon. Directed and produced by Hashim Marikar, the film stars Paoli Dam, Harshika Poonacha and Sakshi Dwivedi in lead roles alongside Maqbool.

Said to be a romantic comedy, the film was launched last month, and has Praveen KL in charge of editing. Music is by Mansoor Ahmed, while Sajith Menon handles the camera. The project is said to be a bilingual.
Maqbool is the son of Ibrahimkutty and the nephew of Malayalam superstar Mammootty. He has acted in films like Matinee, Oru Korean Padam, and Hangover.
His last onscreen appearance was in Mammooty’s Kasaba.
