Dulquer Salmaan has experimented with his roles in Malayalam cinema, but for his Tamil film he plays it safe by doing a romantic film. After Vaayai Moodi Pesavum and Ok Kanmani, the actor will be seen in Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithal for which he will begin shooting from tomorrow in Chennai.
“It’s a commercial romantic film. Dulquer plays an IT professional,” says debutant director Desingh Periyasamy, a former assistant to Vijay Milton. “Tomorrow, we begin shooting and in a couple of weeks, we will head to Goa and Delhi. While Dulquer has so far played characters close to reality in Malayalam films, in this romantic entertainer, he will play a Tamil hero, a little larger than life character.”

“Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithal, composed by AR Rahman for Mani Ratnam’s Thiruda Thiruda is my favourite song and the phrase is apt for this love story, hence the title,” he adds.
Produced by Francis, the film has Ritu Varma of Pelli Choopulu fame as the female lead. Ritu Varma will be making her Tamil debut with Gautham Menon’s Dhruva Natchathiram with Vikram. KM Bhaskaran will handle the camera and T Santhanam has been roped in for art direction.
