Replying to actor Vishal’s petition at the Madras High Court to change the date of the Nadigar Sangam election, actor Radha Ravi has said that such a move is unnecessary.

Actors Vishal, Nassar, and Karthi had earlier filed the petition requesting the date change based on July 15 being a working day. In his reply, Radha Ravi, the current Secretary of the Nadigar Sangam, stated that the date had been finalised after a detailed discussion by the general body of the organisation. He added that elections have taken place on weekdays in the past as well.
Radha Ravi said that since out of the 3500 members of the Nadigar Sangam, only three wanted a date change, such a move was unnecessary.
