Deepika Padukone’s debut film Om Shanti Om (2007) is being adapted into a musical in Japan, and is scheduled to premiere in July. Padukone said in a recent interview that she and the film’s director Farah Khan would most likely make a trip to Japan to attend the opening show.
Earlier this month, Farah Khan tweeted that the film would be made into a “huge musical” in Japanese.

Fresh off her first international red carpet appearance at the MTV European musical awards event in Rotterdam, Deepika Padukone told the interviewer, “It has been adapted into a Japanese play which will be premiered in July next year. They loved my character from the film. Most probably Farah Khan and I will be going together to Japan for the premiere.”
Om Shanti Om premiered in 2007. The film had SRK and Deepika Padukone in the lead, with music composed by the Vishal-Shekhar duo, cinematography by Manikandan, and supporting roles played by Arjun Rampal, Shreyas Talpade, and Kirron Kher.
