Vishal, the president of the Tamil Nadu Film Producers’ Council (TFPC), has said that the FEFSI strike, and halt in production, will not be permitted.
Maalai Malar reports on the story. Vishal said, “Producers have invested their money in these films. The problem begins because FEFSI has called for a strike and production is stopped. We cannot permit a stop in shooting. We are in discussions to find a solution to the strike, and will hopefully arrive at it in two days time.”

Vishal also said that producers are forcing actors to take a pay cut, however, this situation came about because producers gave inflated salaries to actors without adequately measuring their market pull and abilities. He added that these days, film revenues, ticket prices, and box-office collections are allowing filmmakers to determine an actor’s true worth, and producers will need to fix their budget based on that.
Meanwhile, Silverscreen reported that FEFSI has made its demands clear, and that the ball is in the TFPC’s court.
